If you want to be successful in an online marketing niche, you need to understand marketing on the Internet. But another top Internet marketing technique that costs you nothing at all but time is writing articles that you then place at articles directories and content sites. As you write more and more articles, you develop a readership. This readership come to trust you as an expert in your niche, and these are people that you will turn into customers and from whom you will get referrals. All of your articles will have at least one link back to your sales website. You can submit one article to numerous directories and sites, and you can also increase their readership by bookmarking these articles at social networking sites like Digg. You should also make friends at these social networking sites. Along these same lines, you can use two sites called Twitter and Squidoo to get serious free advertising for your Internet business. With Twitter, you just leave a very brief message every time you have something happen to you. It can be professionally or personally. You will in time build up a following of loyal readers. Again, you should make friends at Twitter. But don't overdo it: don't leave more than about five entries per day. If you do you'll start to be seen as a shameless marketer and not "authentic". A constantly updated Squidoo lens can work wonders for your exposure. Note that the key is "constantly updated". If you add something new almost every day Squidoo will help promote you and people will find you. Yet another highly effective way of marketing on the Internet is to create videos that you will put up at places like YouTube and Video Jug. Audiovisual really grabs people. You can make these videos for free with very low-cost software and equipment. Just make sure you stand out by being funnier, sexier, or more professional than others, as there are tons of these and they proliferate daily. | |
